Job Description

Spherion has a stellar opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk in Colchester! This position begins as a temporary position with the potential to become a permanent career placement. In addition to a focus on general financial responsibilities, the person in this position will provide support in an Administrative Assistant capacity to assist members of the organization's leadership team! Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely check processing
  • matching, batching, and coding invoices
  • gathering backup for weekly check runs, sending out payments, maintaining vendor contact
  • providing exceptional customer service for any inquires or discrepancies, company invoices, auditing for appropriate expense coding and signature approval, and data entry
  • daily research and resolution of vendor problem invoices and credit memos
  • assisting Accounting Manager with weekly, monthly, and year-end processes
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Skills:
  • Previous experience working in Multiview software
  • Experience in performing financial data analysis
Education: Associate Experience: 1-4 years Qualifications:
  • Associate of Science Degree in Accounting or business related field
  • Minimum two years of relevant Accounts Payable experience as well as administrative support
  • Previous experience in use of computerized accounting and financial management systems
  • Experience in performing financial data analysis
