Hiring CDL A Tanker Drivers in Louisville, KY and Jeffersonville, IN. N - Tanker Vehicles Endorsement. Talon Logistics Services is hiring CDL A OTR Tanker Drivers in Louisville, KY and Jeffersonville, IN. Drivers will be hauling oil lubricants in a 7,000 gallon smooth bore 42 foot tank trailers throughout the US. Drivers must be willing to obtain a tanker endorsement and must have previous liquid bulk experience. We are a small, family-based company that understands our employees are the key to success. Orientation is only 1 day Passenger Policy: Minimum age: 18 years old Pet Policy No Slip Seating Home Time, Route, and Schedule: Home Time: Minimum 2 days Schedule: Will work with drivers to try and accommodate scheduling requests Route: OTR 48 states. All loads start & end in Jeffersonville, IN. Dedicated customer Level of Touch: Tankers are preloaded, at unload drivers are required to hook up hoses to the tanker and use compressed air to unload the product. This may require drivers to climb a ladder and walk on top of the tanker Equipment: Late model Freightliner Cascadia and Western Star Trucks Automatic Transmission Governed speed: 70 mph Amenities: APU, TVs, Power Inverter, Microwave Qualifications: Must be at least 24 years of age Must have CDL A license Must have a minimum of 16 months verifiable CDL A tractor trailer driving experience. Some liquid tanker experience required Must be willing to obtain tanker endorsement No prior drug/alcohol violations including refusal to test results No more than 3 moving violations in the past 36 months No more than 2 at fault crashes in the past 24 months Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen Hiring Area: Drivers must be willing & able to commute to Jeffersonville, IN.
