Aligned Solutions has partnered with a well-respected company that is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to join the team in Stuart, FL. In this pivotal role, the candidate will leverage their analytical expertise to analyze and interpret financial data, identify emerging business trends, and proactively communicate these insights to senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a true business partner, able to shape a robust and efficient finance team, streamline financial processes, and help drive strategic decisions across the organization. As Financial Controller, you will ensure compliance with their financial processes, report on P&L, Cash Flow, and other key financial metrics, and manage risks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data shared across departments.

Job Description / Job Duties:

  • Lead Financial Operations: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial statements and processes. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to meet business objectives.
  • Strategic Financial Partnering: Partner closely with leadership to provide actionable financial insights that drive decision-making and business growth. Identify trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and potential business risks.
  • Shape and Develop Finance Teams: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, focused on driving efficiency, improving processes, and achieving operational excellence. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous development within the finance function.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Perform in-depth financial analysis, providing monthly management commentary and supporting data to guide business decisions. Present KPIs and develop new financial metrics as needed to support business goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Effectively communicate financial performance and insights with local management, cross-functional teams, and the broader Companies Group, promoting best practices and ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives.
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify, supervise, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the accuracy of financial data shared with Directors and Operations teams.
  • Capex Management: Oversee the preparation and approval of Capex Authorization Requests in collaboration with Operations, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals.
  • Audit Oversight: Actively participate in internal and external audits, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented and compliance with financial processes is maintained.
  • Profit Optimization: Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for profit enhancement and operational efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an MBA.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of combined accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a financial controller or leadership role. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Previous experience in managing turnaround situations and building high-performing finance teams is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in managing and shaping / developing finance teams, with the ability to drive efficiency and cultivate a high-performing culture.
  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting/modeling, and cost accounting. Proficiency in SAP and manufacturing environments is essential.
  • Business Acumen: The ability to work as a strategic business partner across departments, influencing decisions and fostering collaboration to achieve organizational goals.
  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
