The Role

Guest House is quickly becoming the household name for home staging across the US. We’re in search of a world-class Designer with an owner mindset to lead the expansion into the Arizona market as Design Manager. The Design Manager will oversee staging operations, design quality, customer experience and other functions with the support of our corporate team and local contract teams. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing start-up, and flex your owner mind-set and Design expertise to build something big with us.

As Design Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Grow the market through consistent, on-brand, and on-time staging delivery
  • Design, maintain and install up to 10 homes of inventory
  • Drive a two-sided marketplace - facilitating the usage of staging partners’ inventory to meet staging demand beyond our inventory ownership, and rental of Guest House inventory to staging partners.
  • Be the face of the brand, primary point of contact for customers, providing timely communication and proactively resolving issues to ensure satisfaction
  • Leverage Guest House technology and playbooks to accelerate growth, ensure operation in accordance with brand standards, and track your customer interactions.
  • Oversee daily operations and utilize resources within budget to achieve market goals, and meet execution and quality standards.
  • Own your capacity planning for your market and schedule stagings and services for your customers installation in-market
  • Mentor and up-level a Stylist team in-market to execute on design quality standards
  • Monitor all vendors to guarantee quality experience across design, cleaning and media deliverables
  • Create effective and scalable practices and standards

  • Interior Design credentials with 5+ years of interior design or home staging experience
  • Owner mind-set, solution-based and results oriented
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, expert time management and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Someone who embraces hard work, exhibits gumption, takes calculated risks and is excited at the opportunity to run their market autonomously.
  • This is a full-time position. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule balancing working on-location in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, and at the Saltbox Tempe warehouse.

Compensation
