JOB SUMMARY:
The Dietetics Director is a Management position.
The Dietetics Director provides leadership, instruction, and guidance for all aspects of food service operations. This position is responsible for delivering the highest quality nutritional care, safe quality food, and exemplary service to all customers.
The Dietetics Director reports directly to Vice President of Human Resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
a.)Bachelor’s or advance degree from an accredited college or university with major in foods, nutrition, or food service administration.
Licensure/Certification:
a.)Certification Dietary Managers (CDM)
Work Experience:
a.)5 years minimum leadership experience in healthcare foodservice
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
Provides direction, instruction, and guidance for all areas of food service operations for the organization. Sets a clear vision for the department by establishing goals to be achieved.
Develops strategies for delivering a variety of food choices that are high in quality, appetizing, compliant with regulatory requirements, and cost effective.
Leads staff in providing for all nutritional services for patients in collaboration with other departments in the hospital.
Directs interviewing, hiring, and training of staff. Establishes performance standards and department policy and procedure.
Directs the department process for meeting and maintaining the highest quality measures. Responsible for the measurement and reporting of all quality indicators.
Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Patient contact.
2. Exposure to chemicals.
3. Required to handle all types of institutional food service equipment.
4. Walking and standing required throughout the day.
5. Work is performed indoors with generally no extremes in temperatures, lighting, or
noise levels.
