The Email Developer will provide technical expertise for the Marketing Team to enhance advisor experiences using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and HubSpot, by coding, building, and testing email communications, SMS, and push notifications. This position will develop and implement marketing automation journeys and provide ongoing support of our email marketing systems and marketing automation platforms. The Email Developer will partner with Technology to provide recommendations for Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Primary Responsibilities include coding, building and testing email communications, SMS messaging and push notifications; setting up, testing, QA and launching high-quality marketing campaigns utilizing dynamic content; monitoring active campaigns daily and quickly troubleshooting to resolve errors; designing emails and fixing issues utilizing HTML/CSS and SFMC developer tools; refreshing and modernizing existing email templates; analyzing campaign performance and suggesting improvements; providing recommendations during project discovery and planning based on existing Technology infrastructure; providing accurate estimates on marketing campaign development effort; partnering with Business Stakeholders and Technology to establish and define business, technical and functional requirements during project planning; participating in working sessions with peers to review design specifications; collaborating with technical consultants in the development and integration of new applications; managing email database including merge, purge, dedupe, append, etc., and working with IT and vendors to ensure data synchronization with other related databases; managing calendars across multiple clients and campaigns to ensure on-time delivery and progression of messaging. Primary Skills & Requirements include HTML/CSS, JavaScript, SQL, AMPScript, SFMC developer tools experience; 3+ years with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and HubSpot; 5+ years’ experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sales-cloud objects and Marketing Cloud Connect integrations; certifications in Salesforce products a plus; understanding of CAN-SPAM and TCPA regulations, accessibility and email development best practices; proficiency in responsive email design; experience with email testing tools like Litmus or Email on Acid; list management and segmentation experience a plus; strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative and respectful team-oriented personality; ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
