Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role involves performing electrical maintenance on machinery and equipment, including CNC machines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. You will be responsible for both preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and following technical manuals and specifications to ensure optimal operation of all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on CNC machines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Dismantle devices to remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and various tools; examine form and texture of parts.
• Control downtime by educating production workers on preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock levels, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
• Conserve maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies to achieve job results.
• Prepare electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Enhance technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated electrical abilities through installations, conduit work, and PLC wiring.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
• Experience with induction furnaces, vibratory conveyors, and shot blast equipment is preferred.
• Proficiency in CNC machining, robotics, and RS 500/5000 logic.
• Ability to read electrical prints and troubleshoot effectively.
• Experience with foundry equipment, paint, and machine shop equipment is a plus.
• Experience working with 120 and 480 voltage.
• Specific knowledge and experience with PLCs, Ladder Logic, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical distribution.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, equipment installation, repair, and troubleshooting of large automated systems.

Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn time and a half for hours worked on Saturdays and any hours over eight per day. Sundays are compensated at double time. There is a mandatory 16 hours of overtime monthly, with the opportunity to volunteer for more. Our pay structure is competitive and offers increases based on hours worked and performance.

Work Environment

This position is located in a foundry manufacturing environment, which includes a furnace/pour area, CNC machining area, and an assembly area for heavy assembly of valves. The work environment involves exposure to industrial equipment and technology, requiring adherence to safety protocols.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.
