Job Description

A Deployment Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Evendale, OH 45215. This is a full-time, direct hire position with full benefits. To be considered for this role, you must be a US citizen and must possess a Secret Security clearance or be capable of obtaining one successfully. Additionally, you must hold a current CompTIA Security + CE certification or equivalent or be capable of obtaining one successfully. Employment requires the candidate to be on-site daily, no remote or hybrid schedule opportunities available.

Ideal candidates will have a staff engineer competency level equivalent to an associate degree plus a minimum of four (4) years' work experience supporting, building, and deploying any combination of the below listed Preferred Current Systems.

JOB DUTIES:

* Identifying and fixing vulnerabilities within existing security systems

* Performing patches to advert potential security problems

* Developing organization-wide security measures

* Documenting known security breaches and vulnerabilities

* Providing feedback to cybersecurity engineers to improve proposed or existing systems

* Build, patch and deploy Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches

* Build, patch and deploy ISE AAA servers

* Install 4000 series Firepower Threat Detection firewall servers

* Configure Firepower Threat Detection Firewall and rules

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal Candidate will have L3 knowledge in at least one of the Preferred Current systems listed below and at a minimum, L1+ knowledge in one or more of the other areas following. Additional experience in the Future Systems area will be considered a plus. Candidate must be capable of troubleshooting multiple platforms/systems and layers of the OSI model.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce and deliver presentations and training on new technology implementations (Transition to Operations).

* Proactive disposition to research technical issues, contribute to process and technology improvement discussions, and learn new tools and technologies required to excel in their role.

* Professional demeanor to work in an active professional office environment and ability to communicate with high level managers and decision makers as needed.

* Collaboration, Decision Making, and Risk Management - experience in change planning and execution, ability to understand the requirements of complex changes and work with Program/Product Managers to engage other departments and resources as required.

* Must be able to work independently, if needed, in a closed air-gapped environment to troubleshoot issues, across various platforms, that may occur during a system deployment

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
