Senior Linux Network Engineer

TS/SCI /poly clearance is required.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructures, including performing moderately complex network upgrades and routine network operations and maintenance . The role requires you to:

• Perform moderately complex network designs, focusing on limited segments of the network.
• Carry out upgrades to network systems, ensuring all changes are aligned with network performance specifications.
• Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network, evaluating the potential impact on overall network performance.
• Provide advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements.
• Plan and implement upgrades to existing network configurations, ensuring integration and optimal network performance based on system characteristics and interface specifications.
• Utilize network analysis tools to identify and address performance issues within the network.

You will work with several technologies and provide support for the network infrastructure across distributed locations.

Required Experience:

Experience in one, two, or more of the following areas:

• Ethernet and IP LAN design, configuration, and maintenance.
• SONET-Based WAN design, configuration, and maintenance.
• Border Gateway Protocol and (MPLS) design, configuration, and maintenance.
• Microsoft Windows d esktop and server design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment, including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016.
• Microsoft Active Directory in a secure and distributed IT environment supporting clients and servers such as Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016.
• Macintosh devices design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment.
• Linux desktops, servers, and other devices design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment.
• Configuration and operation of Enterprise storage across network (SAN) solutions (e.g., HPE 3PAR, NetApp, EMC).
• Server virtualization solution design, configuration, and maintenance using software such as VMware vSphere, Windows Hyper-V, or equivalent.
• VOIP solution design , configuration, and maintenance with Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent solutions.
• VTC solution design, configuration, and maintenance with Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent solutions.
• Configuration and maintenance of COMSEC (NSA GOTS/Type-1) systems.
• Cisco network device experience.
• Cisco VOIP device experience.
• Cisco VTC device experience.
• VMware vSphere, vCenter, and other enterprise-class VMware solutions.

Required Years of Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience providing support in the respective disciplines.

Education Requirements:

Additionally, 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will meet the educational requirements.
