Medical Assistant – Dermatology (Outpatient Office)

Location: Jupiter, FL

Compensation: $21/hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• One-hour lunch break daily

Position Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our friendly, patient-focused dermatology team. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and excited to grow with a practice that values teamwork and exceptional service. You will assist providers with a variety of dermatology procedures, support patient flow, and help ensure an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for visits and procedures
• Document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other key information
• Assist with skin exams, biopsies, excisions, cosmetic procedures, and other dermatologic treatments
• Properly handle and label specimens for lab submission
• Educate patients on post-procedure care, treatment plans, and skincare recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment
• Schedule follow-ups, manage referrals, and support administrative tasks when needed
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and uphold patient privacy standards

Qualifications

• Required: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent relevant experience
• Preferred: Prior dermatology, cosmetic, or outpatient medical office experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-first approach
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Organized, dependable, and adaptable to a growing office environment
