  • Work Schedule : Monday - Friday 9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Must work every other Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (will work half day during the week when having to work on a Saturday.
  • Must pass credit check and background check.
  • Member Services Representative/Teller

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Member Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to our members by assisting with a wide range of account, transaction, and product-related inquiries. You will play a key role in supporting daily operations, maintaining member satisfaction, and promoting financial wellness through our products and services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Account Servicing

    • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash advances
    • Sell money orders, corporate, and cashier’s checks
    • Open and close share accounts; re-order checks, stop payments, and debit card reissuance
    • Assist with inquiries related to account balances, transaction history, and general questions
    • Review account information for holds, restrictions, and fund availability
    • Process bank wires, Western Union requests, and internal transfers
    • Update member records including name, address, and contact information
    • Provide notary services (if commissioned)
    • Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Customer Identification Program

    Product & Service Education

    • Screen membership applications and determine eligibility
    • Identify member financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services
    • Educate and assist members with online and electronic services (ATM, online banking, bill pay)
    • Provide guidance on IRA products and process transactions

    Problem Resolution & Fraud Monitoring

    • Investigate account issues and initiate corrective actions or exception requests
    • Assist members with ATM disputes and suspected fraudulent activity
    • Collect delinquent or over-limit amounts and escalate unresolved cases to collections
    • Stay alert to signs of fraud or abuse and notify appropriate personnel

    Cash Handling & Teller Support

    • Maintain security of cash and negotiable instruments
    • Reconcile cash drawers and assist with ATM/TCD/TCR replenishment
    • Support money deliveries and process negotiable items accurately
    • Follow established cash handling and reporting procedures

    Lending & Referrals

    • Promote lending products and services including loans, credit cards, and mortgages
    • Refer members to appropriate team members for lending and mortgage services

    Branch & Community Support

    • May assist with opening/closing branch procedures and vault management
    • May represent the credit union at community events and outreach programs
    • Meet or exceed monthly sales and service quality goals

    Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of financial products and services, or the ability to learn quickly
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage member concerns with professionalism and diplomacy
    • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and basic internet tools
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and financial calculations
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
    • Ability to work efficiently, follow procedures, and meet productivity standards
    • Reliable and punctual with a consistent work schedule
