Job Title: Power Bi Developer

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate hands-on Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to support the design and implementation of new features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems in response to business and technology changes. This role is integral to establishing a data-centric organization and ensuring the success of our BI program.

You will be part of a small, highly skilled team, providing best-in-class solutions to our global user base.

Roles & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly capable, enthusiastic, and experienced individual to join our team. The BI Engineer will be responsible for designing and building BI capabilities by developing technically sound and forward-looking solutions that present data intuitively. Reporting to the VP of BI, the BI Engineer will play a key role in owning the technical aspects of BI solutions.

As part of a growing team, the ideal candidate will be comfortable analyzing, designing, and implementing dashboards with the necessary processes and controls.

• Strong comprehension of Azure cloud services and previous experience supporting enterprise-wide dashboard deployments.

• Advocate for data visualization and a results-driven professional passionate about innovation and establishing a data-centric organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver complete Power BI solutions.

• Design intuitive, interactive dashboards with engaging visualizations.

• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions.

• Provide technical expertise in data acquisition, dataset modeling/development, and report production.

• Promote best practices and effective use of BI tools within the team.

• Work closely with business teams to understand and develop BI requirements.

• Collaborate with Azure Data Engineering colleagues to build underlying data architecture using Data Bricks & Data Lake.

• Analyze data stores and recommend improvements to enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

• Exhibit a positive, can-do attitude, openness to change, self-motivation, and a proactive approach.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the effective and efficient use of certified data sources within the business.

• Support the Business Intelligence Lead in designing, building, and deploying BI solutions using the Microsoft Azure stack (Power BI & Paginated Reports).

• Foster the adoption of best practices and design principles for Business Intelligence.

• Collaborate across teams to solve problems, develop and execute database queries, and conduct analysis.

• Create visualizations and reports for business units.

• Develop and update technical documentation.

Required Technical Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in Business Intelligence and enterprise dashboard solutions.

• Strong expertise in Data Analytics, with a focus on Power BI.

• Knowledge of Data Warehouse design (dimensional modeling) and data mining best practices.

• Experience implementing analytical workloads and service-service analytics scenarios.

• Familiarity with deployment pipelines and workflow management tools.

• Awareness of current industry trends and challenges, with an interest in future developments.

• Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Desirable Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in agile methodologies, including DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Agile/Kanban/Scrum, CI/CD Pipeline).

• Experience with Microsoft/Azure Stack (SQL Server, Data Lake, Delta Lake, and Business Intelligence tools like SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).

• Familiarity with other BI tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot, and Sisense.

• Experience in writing and implementing test scripts, documenting issues, and ensuring quality assurance for production deployment.
