Job Overview:
The Electric Vehicle Charging Sales Manager will lead and drive sales efforts for ENVISION’s electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions and infrastructure. This role requires a strategic and results-driven individual who can build relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners to support adopting the ENVISION Multi-Media EV charging systems for commercial applications in the hospitality, retail, entertainment, municipal, and education industries. The position demands in-depth knowledge of the EV charging industry, a strong background in sales, and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies for new business acquisition and account growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet ENVISION’s revenue targets and market penetration goals.
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities in the targeted industry sectors, regions, and selected strategic clients,
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to optimize sales processes and adapt offerings accordingly.
- Lead the sales team and coordinate efforts to maximize sales growth and maintain high conversion rates.
Customer and Referral Partner Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, property owners, sales referral partners, electrical contractors, and executives from targeted client organizations.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to educate clients on the benefits of ENVISION EV charging solutions.
- Provide the required services to meet potential client requirements throughout the sales process, including post-sales support, troubleshooting, and follow-ups.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales specialists to achieve personal and team sales goals.
- Conduct training sessions to keep the team updated on the latest EV charging trends and technological advancements.
- Foster a positive and performance-driven culture within the sales department.
Product Knowledge & Consultation:
- Stay current on ENVISION’s EV charging solutions, underlying technologies, products,
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, funding and grant opportunities,
- Understand ENVISION’s product installation and infrastructure cost requirements.
- Work closely with the product development and marketing teams to align sales strategies with the latest product offerings.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Track sales performance and regularly update senior leadership on progress toward revenue goals, market share growth, and strategic objectives.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for resource allocation and decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate competitor activities and market conditions, adjusting strategies as needed.
Partnership Development & Networking:
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, vendors, and influencers.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and foster potential leads.
Negotiation & Contract Management:
- Lead negotiations and close contracts for large-scale EV charging projects and installations.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure all contracts meet company standards and customer needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2-3 years focused on electric vehicle charging infrastructure or renewable energy solutions.
- Proven track record of sales success, including experience in managing large accounts, complex sales cycles, and multi-stakeholder deals.
- Experience in B2B and B2C sales environments, with a solid understanding of the EV ecosystem.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with C-level executives, engineers, and government agencies.
- In-depth understanding of EV charging technologies, including Level 1, 2, and DC fast chargers.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal incentives, regulations, and policies related to EV charging infrastructure.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
