Ready to Build the Future of AI Phone Agents?

Join a high-growth team delivering the most human-like AI voice experiences on the market, where technical depth meets customer obsession.

About the Company:

This fast-moving Series B startup has raised $65 million from top-tier investors including Emergence Capital, Y Combinator, and the founders of PayPal and Twilio. With a 40-person team and customers like Hertz and Better.com, my client is redefining voice automation by creating AI agents that sound natural, helpful, and delightfully human.

About the Role:

My client is seeking an AI Deployment Engineer to own implementation end-to-end, from presales technical scoping to deploying AI agents in production, to expanding customer value across entire organizations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Act as a Presales Partner : Join discovery calls, whiteboard technical solutions, and help product and engineering leaders understand the platform’s unique value.
  • Own End-to-End Implementation : Design and build conversational pathways, wire up APIs, and test until the AI agent sounds indistinguishably human.
  • Coordinate Across Teams : Rally engineers, ops, and product stakeholders to hit timelines and deliver real outcomes.
  • Move Fast & Iterate : Ship a strong v1 agent quickly, learn from real calls, patch edge cases, and continuously improve performance.
  • Drive Expansion : Embed deeply in the customer’s team, identify new use cases, and work with sales to drive adoption and upsell.
  • Be the Face of the Company : Champion customer success through deep relationships, onsite visits, training sessions, and extraordinary hospitality.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  • 3–7 years in solutions engineering, startup product development, or technical customer-facing roles.
  • A proven track record of relentless ownership, whether personal or professional.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex AI systems into plain language for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excited for the intensity and fast pace of an early-stage startup; this is not a big tech job.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience shipping side projects or production features using LLMs.
  • Background as a founder, PM, CSM, or any high-ownership, customer-facing role.
  • Prior experience managing the full customer lifecycle from presales to post-sales.

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Real Ownership : From day one, you’ll lead customer success from technical scoping to long-term adoption.
  • Massive Impact : Shape how AI agents interact with millions of people in real-world conversations.
  • Tight-Knit, High-Caliber Team : Join an ambitious and talented team that moves fast and supports each other.
  • In-Person Collaboration : Spend your first month in the company’s beautiful San Francisco office (Jackson Square), with continued in-person and customer site presence encouraged.
  • Great Perks : Competitive salary, equity, and the chance to help define the future of voice AI.

Relentlessness is more important than a perfect resume. If you're resourceful, learn quickly, and want to work on something that matters, we’d love to hear from you.
