Job Title: Spatial Omics Post-Doc Position at Fred Hutch, Seattle Job Number: 90336 Location: Seattle,US Job Description Overview: Applications are invited for one or more postdoctoral fellow positions with Drs. Wei Sun and Li Hsu in the Biostatistics Program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) is an independent, nonprofit research institute based in Seattle, where interdisciplinary teams of world-renowned scientists seek new and innovative ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include developing innovative statistical and machine learning methods for spatial-omic or genomic data, identifying tumor features predictive of survival outcomes, as well as integrating multiple data sources to assess the relation between environmental risk factors and tumor subtypes. Specific areas of interest include deep learning, statistical modeling and inference, and observational data analyses. The fellow will have real data analysis experience by participating in large collaborative studies involving rich datasets on tumor germline or somatic genetic data, spatial omics, lifestyle and environmental risk factors across diverse populations. The position will come with a very competitive postdoc-level salary with great benefits for at least two years. The Center is housed in a lovely campus next to Lake Union a short walk from downtown, and a convenient shuttle from the University of Washington. Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in (bio)statistics, computer science, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or related quantitative fields with strong skills in computing, data analysis, and some knowledge of biology.
