OneMain Financial is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. This role will be on-site at our corporate site in West Valley City, UT. This “full-stack” position is responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for OneMain’s proprietary loan origination system (LOS), loan servicing system (LSS), omfauto.com, phone system (Twilio Flex), and other ancillary systems. This position will directly interface with subject matter experts across all business lines, including Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Credit, Legal, and Customer Service. Key Responsibilities include working independently with technical skills, executing complete tasks or multiple tasks within projects, mentoring junior staff, taking ownership of tasks, collaborating with others, managing multiple priorities, learning and taking responsibility for larger project segments, establishing relationships and understanding project dependencies and risks, communicating complex information clearly, identifying gaps and proposing improvements, adapting to new ways of working, focusing on quality and automation, using critical thinking for complex problems, collaborating with other teams, developing others by sharing knowledge, demonstrating personal leadership, and taking initiative. Job Requirements include 5+ years of software engineering experience, fluency in C# and .NET Framework, mastery of T-SQL (SSMS), database design and development, competence with WPF, XAML, LINQ, capability in WebApi, JSON, XML, API integration, understanding of MVVM Design Pattern, practiced in MVC, HTML, JQuery, exposure to React, Node.js, Angular, solid understanding of OOP and SOA principles, ability to deliver clear technical writing, interest in discussing technical concepts beyond immediate work, enthusiasm for continuous learning, knowledge of Agile software development, iterative delivery, cloud computing, and a BS degree in a computer related field. Excellent communication skills are required.
