Volt is immediately hiring for a Staff Accountant in Englewood, CO. As a Staff Accountant, you will: Financial Reporting & Month-End Close:Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely month-end financial reporting. Prepare financial statements, including journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. Participate in year-end financial statement audits. Job Costing & Project Management:Monitor and control project expenses to ensure profitability. Utilize QuickBooks and a custom-made ERP system to manage job costing. Design and implement internal job cost controls to support company growth. Accounts Payable & Receivable:Handle daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable and accounts payable. Review A/R and A/P aging reports to manage cash flow effectively. Payroll & Benefits Administration:Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner. Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, 401K plans, and Flexible Spending Accounts. Financial Analysis & Budgeting:Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts. Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately. Monitor and control credit card expenses. Utilize advanced excel skills for financial analysis and reporting. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have: Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software. Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and financial reporting. Strong payroll management experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. Experience with custom ERP systems is highly desirable. Experience with job costing within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GAAP. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working within the manufacturing industry.
