Under Limited Managerial Direction: Reviews trust requests. Administers booked trust accounts. Reviews account activities, trust investments and instruments and determines bank's fiduciary responsibilities toward each account.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Monitors current account activities, investment instruments and cash transactions to ensure compliance with the written terms of the trust document. Develop and maintain relationships with trust clients.
• Analyzes each trust account distribution request. Determines whether distribution requests are appropriate for each account. Maintain a working knowledge of the Special Needs Trust rules and regulations and distribution parameters unique these trusts.
• Visits potential trust clients to discuss and establish new accounts. Accepts accounts that support departmental business plans, meet fiduciary requirements and fulfill corporate profit goals. Ensures all required documents and assets are marshalled, properly filed and accounts set-up within the various operational systems.
• Recommends changes to current practices, procedures, and investment direction to provide better service, increase rate of return and remain in compliance with the provisions of the trust agreement and regulatory mandates.
• Provide technical and product support to other Bank staff, and trust related committee members as requested and remains abreast of current trends in the trust business and the various fiduciary and tax laws governing trust administration.
• Performs other job related duties and participates in special projects as requested.

Prior work experience administering trust, either personal, employee benefits or escrow accounts where incumbent has gained an indepth understanding of the regulatory, fiduciary and tax laws, practices and procedures which govern the trust business. Must have computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft word and excel. Incumbent must possess excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
