Salary: 81,000 - 130,000 USD per year Requirements: ~ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; a related Bachelor's Degree is preferred. ~7 years of experience in a related field. ~ Active Secret clearance is required. ~ Candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship due to agency and contract requirements. ~ This is an on-site position at a government facility and requires presence five days per week in Colorado Springs, CO. ~ Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from Colorado Springs, CO. ~ Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required. ~ Proven experience as a VMware Engineer or in a similar role, with expertise in designing and managing VMware vSphere environments. ~ Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere features and capabilities, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, vMotion, HA, DRS, and vSAN. ~ Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies for virtualized environments. ~ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. ~ A team player and fast learner, with the ability to work proactively and independently to support mission-critical operations across geographically diverse locations. Responsibilities: Design and implement VMware vSphere virtualization solutions, including server consolidation, high availability, and disaster recovery. Configure and maintain VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and other VMware components. Monitor virtual infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization. Provision, deploy, and manage virtual machines (VMs), templates, and snapshots. Implement and maintain security measures for virtualized environments, including access controls, network segmentation, and VM isolation. Create and maintain documentation related to virtualization configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
