For over 60 years, Conard House has provided vital, community-based resources for San Francisco’s vulnerable adults living with serious mental illness. As a nonprofit organization, we create communities that empower people and restore hope. Each year, we serve over 2,000 adults through Supportive Housing, Mental Health, and Money Management services.

Operating across 10 residential buildings, 4 program sites, and 22 shared apartments, we provide essential resources to 1,500 residents and clients. Are you passionate about building community and empowering volunteers? Do you thrive in a dynamic role that blends strategy, creativity, and hands-on program development? We’re looking for an energetic and organized Volunteer Program Manager to lead and expand our volunteer initiatives, ensuring a transformative experience for both volunteers and the communities we serve.

🔹 Lead & Innovate – Develop and manage a robust volunteer program, including recruitment, training, scheduling, retention, and recognition.

🔹 Supervise & Support – Oversee volunteer department staff, including our Digital Literacy Specialist, ensuring volunteers and interns receive the training and support needed to thrive.

🔹 Expand Community Impact – Build partnerships with educational institutions, corporate groups, and community organizations to recruit, place, and manage volunteers and interns.

🔹 Develop Programs – Collaborate with Program Directors and leadership to identify volunteer needs and pilot new community support programs.

🔹 Grow & Engage – Create compelling recruitment materials and presentations to attract individuals, groups, and corporate volunteers.

🔹 Host & Coordinate Events – Recruit and schedule community speakers, job fairs, and community-building activities.

🔹 Track & Report Success – Manage the volunteer database, analyze key metrics, and contribute to program operations reporting.
